THE HOLY EUCHARIST

The Source, Summit, and Substance of our Faith!

What is the Holy Eucharist?

The Eucharist is 'the source and summit of the Christian life.' The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch.

Return to the lord with your whole heart!

Before receiving the Eucharist, it is crucial to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This sacrament, also known as Confession, allows us to seek forgiveness for our sins and be reconciled with God and the Church. Through Reconciliation, we acknowledge our faults and express genuine remorse for any harm we may have caused, thereby seeking Absolution.

Receiving the Eucharist after participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation allows us to approach the Eucharist with a clean heart and a clear conscience, fully open to receiving the grace and blessings that come from Communion with Christ.

As we prepare to receive the Eucharist, let us remember the importance of Reconciliation as an essential step in our spiritual journey, allowing us to approach the altar with humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of renewal.
